Keiko Kitagawa
Biography
Keiko Kitagawa is a Japanese actress and singer who first worked as a model for Seventeen magazine. Born in Hyogo, Japan, and raised in Kobe, she was scouted by a talent agency. She won Miss Seventeen 2003, which brought her a modeling contract that lasted until 2006. Her first acting job came during that period: she played Rei Hino, also called Sailor Mars, in Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon. After that role, she appeared in a number of movies, among them Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, where she had a small part and went to the United States to film and attend premieres. That experience led her to study English, and she became fluent. She was also studying Commercial Science at Meiji University in Tokyo. In 2007 she worked on five projects, including the drama Mop Girl on Asahi TV.
