Plot summary
Johnny Angel commands a merchant ship of the same line as his father's. At sea he comes upon his father's vessel, derelict and empty of its crew. The one survivor of the hijacking is a passenger whose name is not on the ship's list, and from that passenger Johnny learns of a plot built on secret gold. He carries the search for his father's murderer to New Orleans.
