Plot summary
John and Mary wake up together after meeting at a bar, where the talk turned to Jean-Luc Godard's Weekend. The day that follows carries them through breakfast, lunch and dinner as they belatedly get to know one another. Both have earlier relationships behind them, and neither knows much yet about the other's history; memories of those bad attachments surface whenever something in the talk brings them up.
