Jerseyboy Hero (2011) on Netflix

Plot summary

Chris Vaughn has spent years writing and performing his own songs in and around the Jersey Shore, a place where unknown musicians are common. His lifelong goal is to have that original music recorded and heard by audiences worldwide. A small group of faithful believers supports him, including a blind camera guy. To move the music toward that goal, Vaughn asks people across New Jersey to help him get his work in front of one of two performers he counts as hometown heroes: Bruce Springsteen or Jon Bon Jovi. He holds that his talent is God-given and pursues the dream regardless of the outcome.
