Plot summary
Joymon, a nurse working in a cold, isolated part of Canada, is lonely and stays in touch by phone with family and childhood friends back in Kerala. He decides to celebrate his thirtieth birthday there with a big party and invites his old school friends. Faizal, now a skin doctor, helps arrange it, and Sambath, a car dealer, agrees to host it at his house, assuming it will be a small affair. Sambath's mother, sister and grandmother live there too. Friends including Ratheesh, a television actor, Saji, a gangster, and Sambath's childhood sweetheart Ammu arrive; Joymon has booked fireworks, lighting, liquor and a DJ through event coordinator Akshay. In the house opposite, an older man named Ittichan suffers a heart attack and dies, so a funeral is arranged beside the celebration.
