Plot summary
Keiji and Ryoichi are brothers newly arrived in a Tokyo suburb, where their father, an office clerk, has been promoted. A gang of neighborhood and school bullies keeps the boys away from class until a teacher complains to their father, after which Keiji and Ryoichi have to go. Believing sparrow's eggs will make them stronger, the brothers try eating them so they can take on the bullies. Kozou, an older delivery boy, steps in to threaten the gang, and the brothers come out on top among the local children. Taro, one of the boys in the gang, has a father named Iwasaki, and the children argue about whose father is the most powerful.
