Plot summary
Kenny Shopsin is the owner and head cook of Shopsin's, a restaurant in New York's Greenwich Village. He opens the eatery for the day and talks about his kitchen, his business, the people he employs and the customers he feeds. Regulars and friends order from the roughly 900 dishes he prepares. The rules are his own: every customer must eat, groups of four or more are not welcome, and anyone who irritates him is shown the door. His wife and children all work there, and they describe what it is like to work for him.
