Plot summary

Bonnie has recovered from the youth trauma she carried out of an earlier Hungry Ghost Festival and now works from a food truck. Once she has closed up for the day, her uncle shows himself to her with no warning. She returns to her hometown, Behrang Stesen, and finds that he has died, so she never had a last chance to be with him. She quarrels with her father, and her plan to leave town is stopped by a COVID-19 lockdown. Stuck in the family's old coffee shop, she is surrounded by her relatives, who come back for the Hungry Ghost Festival.
