How to Frame a Figg (1971) on Netflix

Plot summary

Hollis Figg works as an accountant in the basement of the Dalton city hall. His girlfriend, Ema Letha Kusic, waits tables at the diner across the street, and a sanitation worker is his devoted friend. Mayor Robert Chisholm, his staff and Old Charley Spaulding, the richest man in town, take money from the city's accounts and look for cover. To that end they dismiss most of the accountants who work below, buy a large computer called LEO, and hand it to Figg, whom they judge the least able of the group, expecting that he will never notice. The machine is beyond his grasp.
