Plot summary
Donatella Versace inherits the fashion house her brother Gianni built. Gianni, an Italian designer, founded the company that bears the family name. In 1997 he is shot dead outside Casa Casuarina, his villa in Miami, at the age of 50. Donatella and her brother Santo take charge of the company. Donatella steps into the spotlight as its head designer, and critics worldwide ridicule her at first.
