Plot summary
Milpillas lies in Los Altos de Jalisco, a region of ranches and horse work. Nando, a young wrangler from the village, has died suddenly, and the documentary follows the people around him. His relatives and neighbors go about their days on the land and sit for conversations in which they are asked about their town and about Nando. Between those scenes the camera returns to the countryside, to the ranch, and to the horses that Nando and his father looked after. The village has been losing farming jobs, and many of its young people have moved away. Talk often turns to the older ways of working the land and to what has changed in the region since.
