Plot summary
Hauptmann Hoffmann, an SS officer, is assigned to duty in the Führerbunker during the final days of Adolf Hitler. He watches Hitler meet his chief military staff, where Field Marshal Wilhelm Keitel and General Hans Krebs warn that Berlin will be encircled. Hitler ignores them and orders an assault under Felix Steiner's command. Hoffmann is glad to serve close to his leader, who sees potential in him, and joins the pact of officers, Eva Braun and Joseph Goebbels to stay in the bunker and take their own lives if Berlin falls.
