Plot summary
A telecommunications satellite belonging to the French media group CanalDouble comes down on the Brandenburg Gate, cutting a path of destruction to the Reichstag and killing 56 delegates. Thirteen minutes later, satellites are coming down all over the world, and the networks people depend on are failing. West of Geneva stands the world's largest research laboratory, where an experiment with a particle accelerator called the God Machine has failed and left a black hole. The country hit first and its neighbors are in a state of emergency. Sophie Ritter, Marc Weber, Jana Weber, Tobias, Rosi and Willi Wieczorek are among those trying to reach Geneva.
