Plot summary
A single email tells San Francisco that a party is on, and on Saturday evening two hundred people gather at an abandoned warehouse. David Turner came to the city from the Midwest to become a writer; four years on, he writes instruction manuals for a computer company and spends his time alone. His brother Colin invites him to the rave, has a surprise planned for his girlfriend, Harmony Stitts, and wants David there. David goes reluctantly. As the records start, he takes Ecstasy for the first time and meets Leyla Heydel, a longtime New York raver who has just moved to the Bay Area.
