Plot summary
John Stewart served as a Marine sniper in Afghanistan and is finding civilian life difficult. When a ship crashes near him, its pilot, Ganthet, dies of his wounds. The Power Ring Ganthet carried had belonged to Hal Jordan, and it fastens itself to Stewart's finger, lifting him to the Justice League Watchtower. There he meets Green Arrow, Martian Manhunter and Vixen, who have been watching a disturbance in space. Stewart and Green Arrow take Ganthet's repaired ship to Oa.
