Plot summary
In 2003, the rover Opportunity is launched to Mars on a mission expected to last 90 sols. Nicknamed Oppy, she crosses the Martian landscape in search of water. Interviews with scientists and engineers and archival footage are paired with re-created views of her treks, and a bond forms between the rover and her humans millions of miles away. She keeps working far beyond the 90 sols her mission allowed.
