Plot summary
Tai-kun, the Devil of Gamblers, has his ESP abilities back and wants revenge on Chow Sing Cho, the Saint of Gamblers. Sing answers with powers of his own, and the two forces bending against each other distort spacetime, throwing Sing into Shanghai in 1937. That year matters to his family: his grandfather, Chow Tai-fook, is there, along with the millionaire Ding Lik, who has enemies of his own. Japanese military forces are present in the city, and his mistaken crush lands on one of the twin sisters, Yu-san and Yu-mong. In that era he must play a part in his family's history while he looks for a way back to Hong Kong in 1991.
