Plot summary
A South African naturalist believes an African elephant unknown to science lives on the highland plateau of Angola, in a region called Lisima. There ancestral trance, ritual and memory keep the ghost elephants alive. Master trackers take part in the search, among them a San Bushman master tracker and a master tracker who is a healer apprentice, alongside a specialist in San culture, a Luchazi tracker and a Luchazi hunter.
