Plot summary
Donald Beeman works as a corporate executive but grows tired of the rat race. He impulsively leaves his job and becomes a traveling tap dancing magician. Mr. Delasandro teaches him the act. Donald performs in nightclubs and honky tonks. His former boss, Paul Turnbull, wants him back at a nine-to-five desk. Turnbull follows Donald, hoping to persuade him to return.

- Star Tommy Smothers disliked Get to Know Your Rabbit so much that, according to director Brian De Palma, he disappeared for several shooting days and refused to return for retakes.
