Plot summary

Seven years after the battle of Teppelin, the Spiral King's rule is over and people have returned to live on the Earth's surface. Life there is peaceful and prosperous, and the population keeps on rising. That rise brings the sudden emergence of a new and unknown enemy. The Anti-Spiral is fearsome and manipulative, and its power leaves humanity unable to resist. As hope fades, Team Dai-Gurren's members, who once fought the Spiral King, gather once more to make a stand. Simon and his comrades head out into the vastness of space to face the threat and try to save the universe from it.
