Munto (2003) on Netflix

Plot summary

The Heavens are islands that float above the human world, sealed away in another dimension. They draw their power, Akuto, from human feelings, wishes and dreams. That supply is nearly exhausted. The kingdoms of the Heavens quarrel among themselves, and most of them have united against the Magical Kingdom, which consumes the most Akuto. If the Akuto runs out, the islands will fall and both worlds will be lost. Munto, king of the Magical Kingdom, holds that a girl in the lower world is the key. Yumemi Hidaka lives there, and she alone sees the islands overhead; she kept the gift to herself because people did not believe what she saw.
