Plot summary
In Thailand, Luke Purdue steals a painting from criminals and dodges Esme and her henchmen, who want it for themselves. Luke is a disgraced archaeologist. In London he turns up at the museum where his sister Charlotte works as a curator and takes another painting, drawing her into a flight with his partners Murphy and Deb. Interpol Inspector Jamal Abbas questions Charlotte, and she loses her job. Owen Carver, a wealthy corporate raider, is paying for the search for the Fountain of Youth and offers Charlotte a lawyer to help her win custody of her son. Their late father's notes describe a secret society, the Protectors of the Path, which hid the Fountain for centuries, and six historic paintings that carry its clues.
