Plot summary
In Athens, the secret agent Stelios receives a photograph of the dog Benji with the Chapman family, and news that a German scientist has gone missing in Greece. In the United States, Paul and Cindy Chapman board a flight to Crete with their dogs, Benji and Tiffany, and Mary, their housekeeper. Chandler Dietrich, a man also bound for Crete, slips into the luggage area, takes Benji's carrier, drugs the dog and marks his paw with a code. The family reaches Crete without the dogs, which missed the connecting flight from Athens. Loose in the city, Benji is chased by a British couple, Ronald and Elizabeth, and searches for Mary, Paul and Cindy while strangers pursue the code he carries.
