Plot summary

Elle di Elle leads a trio of experimental performance artists who take up a residency at a remote artistic institution. The institute is devoted to performance that centers on food and eating. The project is funded by Jan Stevens, the wealthy and enigmatic figure who runs the place. Stones, a journalist who calls himself a hack, is hired to document the group's day-to-day activities. Their practice, sonic catering, draws disturbing sounds from various foods. The artists also deal with unpleasant gastrointestinal disorders, and a doctor on site administers tests. Alongside the rehearsals and performances come power struggles and artistic vendettas.
