Plot summary
The boy who wants to be a pilot has an aviator father to look up to, and a long stretch of years in which the people around him doubt he will make it. Damir Yusupov keeps going and is hired as an airline pilot. In August 2019 he is at the controls of Ural Airlines flight U6 178, an Airbus A321 that leaves Zhukovsky Airport for Simferopol carrying 226 passengers and seven crew members. Shortly after departure the airliner runs into a flock of seagulls and both engines fail. The seven crew members have to bring the plane down with no working engines left.
