Mark Bogatyrev

Mark Bogatyrev is a Russian actor who is best known for playing Maxim Lavrov in the television series Kuchnya. Born in Obninsk, he worked a series of jobs during the 1990s, among them security guard, construction worker and driver, before studying at the Obninsk Institute for Nuclear Power Engineering while acting with a local theater. In his third year of university he was chosen for the lead in the film Nenasytnye (2006), and the experience persuaded him that acting, not engineering, was his calling. He left the institute and entered the Moscow Art Theatre School, graduating in 2010. He has since performed in a number of plays and appeared in television shows and movies.
