Plot summary
Ek Joke Net is a candid camera comedy from South Africa, following in the country's tradition of prank films. Its pranksters stage situations around people who have no idea they are being filmed, and hidden cameras record whatever follows. Ordinary citizens minding their own business are pulled in by strange characters. Among the gags are a shoe salesman with a foot fetish, a driving instructor who has been drinking, a case of mistaken celebrity identity at an airport, and a haunted house. The anger, fear and confusion of the people on the receiving end are what the comedy runs on.
