Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Echte Wiener 2 - Die Deppat'n und die Gspritzt'n (2010)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Because the production had little money and had to economise on equipment, Kurt Ockermüller, who had directed the first film, stepped down as director, and Barbara Gräftner took over the direction.
- Karl Merkatz and Ingrid Burkhard were both initially against making another sequel, seeing no point in it, but agreed to take the lead roles after the producer showed them Ernst Hinterberger's original screenplay; Merkatz's decision was seen as key to the film.
- Götz Kauffmann, who played the janitor Kurt Blahovec, himself died in early 2010, and because the film's plot continues directly on from the first sequel, his death was written into the film's storyline.
- After Ernst Hinterberger waived his fee over the screenplay dispute, the production company Bonus Film donated his 37,500 euro screenplay fee to a charitable cause to show it sought no financial gain from his withdrawal.
