Plot summary

Beth Conner is a seventeen-year-old vegan goth at Henenlotter High School in England, a school where shootings keep happening. She repeatedly takes her own life, expecting to wake inside a romantic comedy, and each time finds herself back in a horror movie she cannot stand. The new American headmaster, Mr. Sawyer, hired for his part in ending the Reams for Less Massacre, announces a contest called the All You Can Eat Massacre, whose winner may carry out a school shooting or turn the weapon on themselves. He also presents Miss Campbell, an English teacher newly arrived from America, and Beth grows infatuated with her. When classmate Ethan Rembrandt taunts Beth, she bites off one of his fingers and discovers she likes the taste of human flesh.
