Plot summary
Michael finished college with a photography dream he never pursued and now drives the late shift at an Ohio party school, ferrying students home from parties. After a violent incident on the bus, his boss brings in Pineapple, a hulking man with Maori facial tattoos and piercings, as security. Michael finds him intimidating at first, then discovers Pineapple is kind and insightful, and the two begin spending their nights together. Pineapple's advice pushes Michael to look at his own life differently. Michael is also still raw from a breakup, and Amy, his ex-girlfriend, has returned to town from New York.
