Plot summary
Assi is a screenwriter and poet from Tel Aviv, and doubt, disturbing thoughts and existential restlessness have taken over his life. A drunken-driving motorcycle accident leads to a sentence of community service. He is sent to a development town in southern Israel, Beersheba, to work with juvenile delinquents who are under house arrest and required to attend sessions at a neighborhood shelter as a condition of their parole. Cinema is the subject he is to teach them, and getting through to the boys is difficult for him at the start. Their extreme personalities, riotous energy and charm pull at his curiosity.
