Plot summary
Tel Aviv on Fire is a soap opera filmed in Ramallah that Palestinians and Israelis both watch, and Salam works on it as a low-level production assistant. He is a Palestinian from East Jerusalem. The series follows a Palestinian spy who falls for an Israeli officer. Each day Salam passes an Israeli checkpoint, where the commander, Assi Tzur, says the show's battle talk does not ring true. Salam puts the commander's lines into the script, and the producers and the star, Tala, are impressed.
