Dirty Pretty Things (2002) on Netflix

Plot summary

Okwe lives in London without documents, though he was a doctor at home in Nigeria. He drives a cab during the day and sits at a hotel front desk at night, in a job staffed by other immigrants. His friend Guo Yi, an employee in a hospital mortuary, supplies him with what little he has for treating poor immigrants who come to him. Juliette, a sex worker who does business at the hotel, tells him a toilet is blocked, and he pulls a human heart out of it. Senay is a Turkish Muslim cleaner at the hotel who is seeking asylum, and she lets Okwe sleep on her sofa. Juan, the hotel manager, learns of Okwe's medical past and wants him as a surgeon for the operation he runs at the hotel.
