Plot summary
Tsui is a successful young author whose comforting writing has earned him a reputation as a healer of readers' spirits, and his wealth comes from his father. In public he is a kindhearted family man devoted to his wife. Elaine, a stylish and charming woman, moves into the flat on the upper floor of his building, and the two begin an affair that brings rifts into his marriage. One night Elaine is found dead on the balcony of the residence, and the police open an investigation. The suspicious factors they collect around the death do not match the ordinary explanations they would expect.
