Plot summary
Gallaudet University in the United States is the only university in the world for deaf and hard of hearing students. In 1988 a hearing candidate is elected as its president over the deaf candidates, and the choice sets off a student protest. The protest becomes known as Deaf President Now. Four students take on the work of leading it, and it runs for eight days.
