Day of Rage: How Trump Supporters Took the U.S. Capitol (2021) on Netflix

Plot summary

A six-month investigation assembles thousands of videos that rioters posted on social media, along with police body camera footage, archived radio traffic and news coverage. Lining the recordings up in time and pairing them with a three-dimensional model of the Capitol complex, the account traces where crowds move as groups advance through the building. The model maps the progress of the attackers onto a virtual Capitol, giving a moment-by-moment view of the breach and of how separate groups converged and overran security barriers. Radio traffic from the District of Columbia police, mixed with real-time footage, shows officers attempting to prevent the attack.
