Alex Jones

Biography

Alex Jones is an American broadcaster and media founder who started in Austin with a live, call-in public-access cable program. Born in Dallas and raised in Rockwall, Texas, he moved to radio in 1996 as host of The Final Edition on KJFK. In 1999 he founded InfoWars, first as a mail-order outlet for videos, then after his dismissal from the station he began doing an internet-based show from home. By 2001 that show was syndicated on about 100 stations, and in 2010 it drew roughly two million listeners a week. Jones also produced and directed Police State 4: The Rise of FEMA (2010) and is behind Endgame: Blueprint for Global Enslavement (2007). In 2018, YouTube, Facebook, Apple and Spotify removed his and InfoWars content over policy violations.
