Dark Blossom (2021) on Netflix

Plot summary

Jay, Josephine and Mareridt are three young goths living as outsiders in the Danish province, and their friendship runs deep. Black makeup, high mohawks, wild outfits and skulls are part of how they present themselves. Together they try to take control of their loneliness and their inner demons, and to break free of the pressure they feel from authorities, whom they see as disturbing and controlling. One day Josephine comes across the beautiful Jan on Instagram, and she falls for him. A possible escape from the province opens up in front of her, and the close bond the three of them share is tested.
