Plot summary
Nishan is born into a middle-class family, and his father keeps telling him to take up steady, honest work. Nishan wants riches quickly, so he crosses into India and joins a gang of smugglers, carrying drugs for them. Jerin, the woman he loves, remains in Bangladesh, where her relatives are pressing her to marry. She asks him to come and meet her family on the 15th, but he takes one more job across the border, where guards catch him and he only narrowly gets away. He returns to find Jerin already married to Shohag. Nishan ends up behind bars, and when he finally walks free, the world he left behind has carried on without him, and people call him a murderer.
