Plot summary
Dwayne McLaren works as an auto mechanic in Cut Bank, Montana, and he has been trying to find a way out of the town since he finished high school. His girlfriend, Cassandra Steeley, is preparing for a local beauty pageant. While Dwayne films her in a promotional video for the town, a mail truck arrives, and a man shoots the carrier, Georgie Wits, then loads the body into the truck. Dwayne and Cassandra hide and keep filming the attack. They take what they saw to Stan Steeley, Cassandra's father, and Sheriff Vogel opens Cut Bank's first murder case. A reward is posted for evidence of violence against a mail carrier, and Dwayne brings the recording to the post office.
