Plot summary
Adonis Creed retired from boxing and now runs the Delphi Boxing Academy, promoting his protégé Felix Chavez, while his wife Bianca runs a record label and their daughter Amara, who is deaf, learns sign language with the family. In 2002 in Los Angeles, teenager Donnie watched his best friend, Golden Gloves champion Dame Anderson, fight underground and talk about a professional career. A detour to a liquor store put Donnie in a fight and left Dame under arrest, and Donnie ran. Twenty years on, Dame leaves prison and asks his old friend for a place at the gym and a shot at the title. Donnie brings him in as a sparring partner for Chavez, and his aggression draws scorn from Chavez and Duke.
