Coroner to the Stars (2025) on Netflix

Plot summary

The chief medical examiner-coroner of Los Angeles County is Thomas Noguchi, a Japanese immigrant. The bodies brought to him include Marilyn Monroe, Robert Kennedy, Sharon Tate and Natalie Wood, and the findings he gives in those cases travel far past the morgue. Talking openly about what an autopsy can establish, he lifts forensic science into public view and becomes a well-known figure in a city that runs on stardom, fame he never sought. That visibility also makes him a target. Hollywood figures and political adversaries would rather he stayed quiet, and his pursuit of the truth keeps him at the center of controversy.
