Plot summary
Bjørn Lomborg, the Danish statistician who wrote The Skeptical Environmentalist, sets out his case in lecture halls and in conversation, pressing for a shift in what the environmental movement treats as its priorities. He argues for putting less emphasis on efforts to cut emissions and more on measures he considers workable, and he works through those ideas on screen. Scientists and campaigners, among them Paul Ehrlich, Lester R. Brown and Bill McKibben, give interviews in which they dispute his reading of the evidence, while other voices support it. The film also challenges Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth, mixing interviews with location footage and animated sequences.
