Plot summary

Denis is an unemployed petty criminal in Munich, living with his single mother and his siblings, and in debt to the gangster Adam. To clear what he owes, Adam orders him to burgle the remote house of Raimund Groenert, a rich businessman recovering from a stroke. Raimund has come home a day early, and Denis finds him on the floor and lifts him into his wheelchair. Then Raimund's granddaughter Charlotte arrives. She is training to be a police officer and has come to look after her grandfather until a professional caregiver takes over, and she mistakes Denis for that nurse. Denis plays along, since a police officer friendly with Raimund is also in the house, and his escape that evening is stopped by Raimund's dog. A snowstorm keeps him there overnight.
