Plot summary
A year after Charlotte the spider died, spring returns to Homer Zuckerman's farm, where Wilbur the pig keeps watch over her three daughters, Nellie, Aranea and Joy, now adolescents. Cardigan, a newborn lamb with black wool, is mocked by the other lambs and young sheep. Wilbur becomes the lamb's guide, teaching him the farm, the routines of animal life and the dangers around them. Weeks later Farmer Zuckerman sells the lamb to another farmer, and Wilbur decides to visit him and make sure he is safe. Templeton the rat offers guidance, on condition that Wilbur babysits his children, and the three spiders go with them.
