Plot summary
The Hamilton sisters, Vivian and Dorothy, conjoined at the lower spine, are on trial over the shooting death of Andre Pariseau. Vivian faces the charge, and the court must weigh what a verdict means for Dorothy. The two perform a vaudeville singing act, and their manager, Hinkley, persuades MacKenzie, who owns the theater, to fund a stunt: Andre, the second-billed magician, is paid to court one of the sisters. Vivian dislikes him and refuses to take part, but Dorothy agrees to be his love interest. Andre works a shooting act with Renee, and he courts Dorothy in earnest. The stunt fills the theater, Dorothy falls in love, and Vivian quarrels with Andre on the couple's outings.
