Plot summary
Gye-chun makes her living as a haenyeo, diving the waters around Jeju. Years ago her granddaughter Hye-ji disappeared as a child. The girl returns now, grown up, and settles into Gye-chun's house on the island. The two of them share the home again, getting used to each other as they rebuild what they lost. Gye-chun gives Hye-ji her full attention through the day. Hye-ji keeps her own life to herself and says little.
