Plot summary
At sixteen, in high school, Camille Vaillant fell in love with Éric, another pupil. They married, had a daughter, and were happy for a time. Twenty-five years later Éric leaves her for a younger woman. On her way to a New Year's Eve party, Camille brings her watch to Monsieur Dupont, a clockmaker, because the watch, a gift for her sixteenth birthday, needs fixing. She drinks heavily at the party, falls into an ethylic coma, and comes to in 1985, sixteen again. Her mother and father are alive, and school waits, with her girlfriends and with Éric among the pupils.
