Plot summary
A stranger's obscene phone call reaches Anna, a young journalist in New York. She mistakes the caller for her boyfriend, so she agrees to meet at a local bar. Inside the women's bathroom a murder takes place in front of her. The killing pulls her into a mystery that includes both the murderer and the mysterious caller. The two speak on the phone, and their conversations become increasingly personal.
