Ian is fifteen years old. He has grown up believing one man is his father, and he has just learned otherwise. His mother Mary-Ann will not tell him who his real father is, and he wants to leave the suburbs behind. His girlfriend Lindsay asks him to stay and sort things out at home. Daniel, his best friend, keeps drawing him toward a violent path. The two of them sell drugs to bring in money, and Maxine, their dealer, offers them a quicker and deadlier way to get rich.
